Since APM's humble beginning in 1964, our family has maintained a commitment to take care of each other and our customers. Francis G. Kreer, along with his son and daughter, founded our company. Our first year in business, we barely grossed $16,000 to split between four people, who each had their own families to provide for. Through hard work and commitment to our customers, our company began to grow. Our reputation for honesty and exceptional customer service spread throughout our community.
In 1972, Philip G. Kreer purchased the company from his father, Francis. Philip carried on the legacy to continue to grow the company with a disciplined philosophy based on the Golden Rule - treat others the way you want to be treated. In 1976 Philip began to purchase local pest control companies who shared his philosophy of placing their customers first. In that year, APM purchased its first acquisition, Ajax Termite and Pest Control. This would be the first of many acquisitions and over the next 25 years APM purchased over 23 companies and expanded its service area to include Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Virginia. Philip Kreer retired in 2006, but not before realizing his father's dream of expanding the company based on the principles on which it was founded.
In 2006, Jeremy and Nam Kreer, Philip's sons, purchased the company. This "passing of the torch" has made APM one of the few third generation companies in the northeastern section of the United States. They have reaffirmed the company's commitment to stay true to its core values of honesty, integrity, and service. Since taking over, Jeremy and Nam have continued to grow the company through acquisitions and new customers. They work very closely with each branch location and are involved in the day to day operations. It's not uncommon to find them in one of the offices, conducting a meeting, or analyzing customer satisfaction reports.
